Transport Workers Union (TWU NSW), Minchinbury
Built for the People Who Keep Australia Moving. They drive the trucks, fuel the planes and move the freight. It was only fitting their headquarters was built with the same grit.
Prime Projects delivered the Transport Workers Union NSW headquarters at Minchinbury – a purpose-built 1,600m² facility completed in March 2019, designed by Team 2 Architects to serve as the central home for the union’s NSW operations.
The building is functional, future-proofed and unmistakably TWU. Facade articulation carries the union’s brand colours proudly. Inside, transport heritage runs deep – a V12 engine repurposed into a reception desk, a boat propeller reborn as a coffee table. Industrial history, made permanent., with modern administration offices, training facilities and meeting spaces all sitting alongside a design conceived with room to grow – all the way to Vision 2035.
From complex integrated fitout to purpose-built new construction, Prime Projects delivered every element with precision, craft and an understanding that some buildings need to mean something.
